Troubleshooting a failing battery

The average car battery life is three to five years, but cold weather, driving conditions and how you care for your car (or don’t) can decrease that. A stalled battery is the obvious sign of battery failure, but there are other symptoms:

Slow cranking when trying to start your car

Grinding, buzzing or clicking sounds when you turn the ignition

Headlights brighten when you rev the engine, but dim when you idle

If you’re experiencing any of these signs, it’s time to test your battery and/or take it in for service. Plan ahead and download the HONK app to have roadside assistance a tap away or click below to get help now.
