This was a luxury that Mary didn’t have after her car got a flat tire as she was returning home from dropping her daughter off at school and running a few errands.

The two had recently moved from New York — where Mary owned her own business for 12 years — to Raleigh, North Carolina when she happened to run over a piece of metal that flattened her tire.
