California Privacy Notice

This California Privacy Notice ("Notice") applies solely to California residents, in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and any implementing regulations. This Notice supplements the HONK Privacy Policy and describes your California-specific privacy rights and how you can exercise them.
HONK Technologies, Inc. ("HONK," "we," "us," or "our") provides this Notice to comply with California law and to inform you of your rights and choices regarding your personal information.
This Notice also applies to personal information collected from California-based job applicants, employees, or contractors. Such information is collected and used for business operations, payroll, benefits administration, legal compliance, and other employment-related purposes.

- Right to Delete personal information that we have collected from you (with certain exceptions).
- Right to Correct inaccuracies in your personal information.

- Right to Limit the Use and Disclosure of sensitive personal information.
- Right to Non-Discrimination for exercising your rights.
You may exercise your rights as described in Section 6 below.

3. Purposes for Collecting Personal Information
We collect and use your personal information for the following purposes:
- Providing roadside assistance and mobile services
- Account registration and management
- Communicating with you about services

- Security, fraud detection, and legal compliance
- Analyzing usage and improving our services
4. Disclosure of Personal Information
We disclose personal information to:
- Service providers (e.g., payment processors, hosting providers)
- Roadside assistance providers (to fulfill your service requests)
- Law enforcement or other legal entities (when required by law)
- Successors in interest in the event of a merger, acquisition, or bankruptcy
We do not sell personal information for monetary value. We may share personal information for targeted advertising, which may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under California law.
5. Use of Sensitive Personal Information
We collect and use sensitive personal information (e.g., payment data, location, login credentials) only to provide services, prevent fraud, or ensure account security. We do not use this information for inferring characteristics about you.

We will verify your request and respond within 45 days (or as permitted by law). You may authorize an agent to submit requests on your behalf.
Global Privacy Control (GPC): HONK recognizes and honors Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. If we detect a GPC signal from your browser, we will treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser or device.
7. Retention of Personal Information
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in our Privacy Policy or as required by law. This may include retention for legal, security, or accounting purposes.

We may update this Notice from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Notice regularly.
